In October 2014, JETS Limited, regulators of the Multilink Network, outlined that all Scotia Visa Debit cards must be processed in a similar manner to that of Multilink debit cards. These changes were put into effect by the National Commercial Bank (NCB) on November 20, 2014.

Based on this amended framework, Hypercom (mobile) terminals and ecommerce websites powered by NCB will be temporarily unable to process ScotiaCard Visa Debit cards.

NCB is working assiduously to have this issue resolved in the shortest possible time and will communicate once normalcy resumes.
